Medical Information: Surviving Soldiers schedule on Spring Hill, Stearns Co., MN June 1890 Census says John Weyman suffered disability from Rhumatism "chills from laying in the cold".

Obituary in the Melrose Beacon Newspaper, November 22, 1907:

John Weymann Sr. is dead at the advanced age of 77 years. The funeral was held Monday from the Catholic church and internment in St. Michael's cemetery in Spring Hill.

John Weymann was born in Treier, Germany, in the year 1829. He came to this country at the age of 24 years, and settled at St. Michael, this state in 1855.

When the civil war broke out, he enlisted and served one year. He was honorably dischared and then came back to Minnesota, this time locating at Spring Hill where he purchased a farm.

A few years later he married Miss Elizabeth Loehr, who survives him. The deceased was one of the most prominent and wealthiest farmers in the vicinity of Spring Hill. Several years ago he retired from farm life and moved into the village. He is survived by his wife and eight children.
