Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for Ernest Burggraff, 72, who died Sunday at his home.Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at Brenny Funeral Home, West Chapel, Little Falls. Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Little Falls followed by parish prayers at 7:30.
Ernest Burggraff was born in Royalton to Edward and Theresa (Jansky) Burggraff. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in January 1945 and was discharged in November 1946. He married Theresa Czeck on Oct. 19, 1948, in Bowlus. He worked at West Side Creamery for 27 years and Camp Ripley for 10 years, retiring in 1991. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1112.
Survivors include his wife; sons and daughters, David and Joe of Brainerd, Kevin of Pierz, Susann Brown of Minneapolis, Mary Kay Cook of Mankato, Jane Bauerly of Sartell, Betsy Luberts of Sauk Rapids, and Kristine Brausen and Julie Lukasavitz of Little Falls; brothers and sisters, Arnold, Lorraine Schlichting and Edward of Little Falls, Raymond of Royalton, Rita Mugg of Sartell, Alma Popp of Rice, and Elaine Gall of St. Cloud; and 19 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brother, Ralph; and one grandson.
