"MRS. ELIZABETH AHLES DIES AT AGE 73 YEARS.
The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Ahles, 214 Eleventh avenue north, occurred last evening at 6 p.m. The deceased was a patient sufferer for the past seven months.
She was born in Luxemberg, Minn. (sic) in 1847 and was 73 years of age. Her husband, Mathew Ahles died ten years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Ahles were pioneer settlers in Minnesota. They settled on a homestead at Rockville in 1858 (sic) and lived there for 18 years, when they moved to this city.
Surviving her are eleven children, forty-six grandchildren and two great-grand children. The children are: Mrs. Mathew Schmit of Rockville; Mrs. Lawrence Iten of Guthrie, Minn; Mrs. A. Revely, Mrs J. F. Davis of this city; Misses Hilda and Pauline Ahles at home; Ben Ahles of Seattle; Mrs. Edward Culnane of St. Paul; Mrs. Ray Jackson of Waite Park; John and Mike Ahles of this city, Two brothers John Fishbach of Minneapolis and Mathew Fishbach of Billings, Montana, two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Brandenberg of this city and Mrs. John Schulz of Wadena.
A requiem mass will be held at the Cathedral on Wednesday morning at ten o'clock after which the remains will be taken to Luxemburg, where she will be placed beside those of her husband."
