John A. Barthle, 53, 263 Longstreet Drive, Gettysburg, PA, died Nov. 24 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
Born Jan. 5, 1955 in Huntsville, Ala., he was the son of the late Robert C. and Patricia Mary Anne (Nilan) Barthle. Mr. Barthle was a member of the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Gettysburg. He was a volunteer for the Adams County United Way and Red Cross.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Hoff Barthle; a daughter, Elizabeth Barthle of Gettysburg; a son, John “Ken” Barthle of Philadelphia; a granddaughter, Kyleen Barthle; a brother, Robert C. Barthle Jr. of Fairfax, Va.; and a sister, Mary Patricia Barthle of Tucson, Ariz.
Memorial services will be held on Nov 29 at the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Gettysburg, with Father Richard A. Randall officiating. Interment will be private. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the church social parlor. The Monahan Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
