Fowler, Juliette Gosselin, age 94, of Montgomery, went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2014. She was born in Miltonvale, KS, one of nine children of Joseph and Marie Gosselin.
She was raised on a farm in Dade City, Florida.
After moving to Key West, Florida in 1940 she married Gerald G. Lopez. They had two sons, Gerald (Jerry) and Joseph (Joe).
Juliette retired after 30 years as a purchasing agent for the U.S. Navy Civil Service. In 1989 they moved to Montgomery, AL to join her son Col Gerald Lopez, USAF, (Ret.) and became a parishioner of St Bede Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Marie Gosselin; first husband Gerald Lopez; second husband DeWitt Fowler; and son Joseph Lopez; Charlie Webster, infant great grandson.
She was survived by her son Col. Gerald Lopez (Ret.) Dadeville, Al; sisters Josephine Shafchuk and Rita Marie Molnar, Dade City, FL; brother Maurice Gosselin, Decatur, AL; six grandchildren Dante Lopez, Dominique Webster, Nicole Hansen, Janine Lopez, Joseph Lopez, and Jason Lopez; five great grandchildren, Jackson and Danielle Webster, Manhattan Beach, CA; Luke, Shelby Grace, and Garrett McManaman-Lopez, Warren, RI.
She was a devoted mother and instilled a deep Catholic faith in her children. Juliette's daily prayers were the source of her strength and the rosary was her favorite prayer. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10 am at St. Bede Catholic Church. Interment will be at St Margaret's Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Bede Catholic Church Memorial Fund on behalf of Juliette Fowler, 3870 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36109.
