Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud, for Jerome Alphonse Neu, who died on Wednesday at home. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 p.m. TODAY, Friday, January 22nd at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud and also after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the church in St. Cloud. Rev. Alan Wielinski will officiate. Private burial will be at a later date.
Jerome was born to the late Alois and Loretta (Kron) Neu in Eden Valley, MN. He married Betty Peterson on May 14, 1960 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Jerome was a plumber, a member of AA and enjoyed playing cribbage, fishing, hunting, camping and making rosaries.
Jerome is survived by his spouse, Betty; children, Kimberly Asmus of Sauk Rapids, Kevin (Lee) Neu of St. Cloud, Kristy (Evart) Lawson of St. Cloud, Karla (Pat) Eustice of St. Cloud; former sons-in-law, Roger Asmus and David Evens; siblings, Donald (Jeanette) Neu, Corrine (Roger) Wicker, Kenny Neu, Laura (Dave) Stanger, Elmer (Carolyn) Neu, Duane (Ruth) Neu, Al (Mary) Neu, Bernie (Helen) Neu, Sandy (Keith) Deadrick; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristine Neu; brothers, Dick, Jack, Gene, Ralph and David.
