The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Beatrice (Bea) Pundsack, age 85 of Waite Park Will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 28 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park. Fr. Bernie Gruenes will officiate, burial will be in the parish cemetery. Bea died Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Tuesday (TODAY) and again after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud. St. Joseph’s parish prayers will be at 5:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Bea was born November 16, 1923 in Farming Township to Joseph and Susan (Dufner) Kalla. She graduated from the St. Cloud Hospital School of Nursing. Bea married Leo Pundsack on October 28, 1948 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park. The couple has lived in Waite Park all of their married life. Bea worked as a Registered Nurse at the St. Cloud Hospital and later as a County Health Nurse, retiring in 1968. Bea is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s Christian Mothers and the Waite Park American Post Auxiliary. She was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family.

Bea is survived by her husband, Leo, Waite Park; her children, Janice (Tomas) Perry, Fairlee, VT; Pat Kritzeck, Cambridge; Jim (Marlene) Pundsack, St. Cloud; Dave (Sue) Pundsack, St. Cloud; her brothers, Claude Kalla, Harvey Kalla and LeRoy (Betty) Kalla, all of Waite Park; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bea is preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Telemetry Unit for their kindness and caring during this difficult time.
