Janet M. Olberding Janet M. Olberding, age 73 of Minneapolis, died on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007. Memorial services were at the Lakewood Cemetery Chapel in Minneapolis on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008. Interment was in Lakewood Cemetery.
Janet was born on Feb. 17, 1934, in Sauk Centre, to Helen and Amandas Polipnick. Janet had a life-long love of music and was a member of the Bach society and a member of the choirs at Visitation and St. Olaf Churches. She was a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music history. She was the proprietor of an antiques and collectibles business.
She is survived by her children, Kathryn (Tom) Skold, Linda Olberding, Tom (Serene), Susan and Sandra Olberding; grandson, Jacob Skold; stepmother, Lena Polipnick.
She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Olberding; parents, Helen and Amandas Polipnick. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Minneapolis Heart Institute or the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy-Edina Chapel.
