Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Kimball for Alfred Dockendorf, 88 of Kimball, who died Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Sunday at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Watkins senior citizens will pray the rosary at 4 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.

Alfred was born to Nick and Mary (Froehling) Dockendorf on March 25, 1920 in Main Prairie Township, Stearns County, Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On February 14, 1946, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Bober at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. They resided in Mpls. for 19 years where Alfred was employed at F.M.C. Corp. as a machinist and supervisor for 35 years. In 1982, they moved near Annandale and have resided at Kimball since 1986. Lorraine passed away on November 16, 2005. Alfred was a member of the St. Anne Catholic Church in Kimball and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was also a member of the Watkins Senior Citizens. Alfred enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, traveling and playing cards.

Alfred is survived by his children and their spouses, Gerald and Patricia Dockendorf of Kimball, Lyle and Barb Dockendorf of Bloomington; grandchildren, Kevin Dockendorf and Maria Dockendorf, both of Bloomington; sister, Anita Hoefer of Kimball; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine; and sister, Lucy Schidele.
