Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church for Leo F. Knoblach, 82, who died Monday at Talahi Care Center, St. Cloud. Burial will be in St. Alexius Cemetery, West Union. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be at 8 tonight at the funeral home in Sauk Centre followed by St. Joseph's Society and Holy Family Society of Catholic Aid Association at 8:30.
Leo Knoblach was born in Avon Township, Stearns County, to George and Mary (Salzer) Knoblach. He married Agatha A. Weber on Sept. 9, 1952, at Holy Cross Church of Pearl Lake, Kimball. The couple farmed in West Union Township, Todd County, for 26 years. In 1973, they sold the farm and moved to West Union where he was the caretaker for St. Alexius Catholic Church and the parish cemetery. In 1989, the couple moved to Sauk Centre and lived there for 11 years. He was employed by Home Quality Foods for 20 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Sauk Centre, St. Joseph's Society and Holy Family Society of Catholic Aid Association, West Union.
Survivors include his wife; sisters and brothers, Elizabeth Marthaler of West Union, Alois of St. Cloud, Marie Tenhoff of Osakis, and twin brothers, Robert and Richard of Sauk Centre.
He was preceded in death by his brother Edmund.
