Phyllis Schmidtbauer, age 79, Waite Park, MN died Friday, October 24, 2008 at Sterling Park Health Care Center, Waite Park, MN. Funeral services will be Monday, October 27, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
Phyllis was born December 15, 1928 in St. Cloud, MN to Nicholas and Aloysia (Blonigan) Mohs. She married Richard J. Culloton on April 23, 1949 in St. Cloud, MN. They later divorced. Phyllis married Raymond J. Schmidtbauer on November 27, 1971 in Waite Park, MN. She was employed as a sales clerk for Wells and then Shopko in St. Cloud. Phyllis started the Sweet Adelines in St. Cloud. She was an avid bowler and gardener and loved going to Las Vegas.
Survivors include daughter and sons, Jill (Mike) Eldred of St. Cloud, MN; Pat (Mary) Culloton of St. Cloud, MN; Jeff Culloton of St. Cloud, MN; and Todd Culloton of St. Cloud, MN; sisters and brother, Katie Tonnell of Waite Park, MN; Rosie Ratliff of White Lake, MI; and John Mohs of Corryton, TN; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Ralph, Bob, Francis, Babe Mohs; five sisters, Eileen Truzinski, Jeanette Mohs, Marjorie Murphy, Dorothy Knudson, Donna Murray. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
