Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Yvette E. Edelbrock, 86, of St. Cloud who passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15th surrounded by her family. Reverend Peter VanderWeyst will officiate. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. St. Anthonys Christian Women will pray at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Yvette was born on October 25, 1921 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to John and Leona (Pogatchnik) Willeke. She married Anton Tony Edelbrock on June 18, 1946 in St. Joseph and lived all of her married life in St. Cloud. Yvette was a member St. Anthonys Parish and Christian Women, the St. Cloud VFW Granite Post #428 Auxiliary and the Waite Park American Legion Silver Star Post #428 Auxiliary.
Yvette loved spending time with her family, playing cards, gardening and taking pictures.
She is survived by her children, Joan (Richard) Westbrook of Melrose, John Jack (Diane) of St. Cloud and Michael (Sandy) of Baxter; grandchildren, Jenny (Jim), Joe, Tony (Beth), Jesse and Krissy (Damon); and great grandchildren, Erica and Mike.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony; sister, Margaret Quast; and brother, James Willeke.
