Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 28th at 11:00 AM at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Spring Hill for Rose E. Schoenberg, age 91 of Paynesville, formerly of Spring Hill who died on Wednesday at Koronis Manor in Paynesville. Rev. Richard Leisen will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday between 4:00-8:00 PM at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and on Saturday one hour prior to services at the Church in Spring Hill. Parish Prayers will be at 6:00 PM followed by Daughters of Isabella, Christian Women and Catholic Aid at 7:00 PM.
Rose was born May 18th, 1917 in Belgrade to Nicholas and Rosa (Singsank) Weimerskirch. She married Joseph M. Schoenberg on October 3rd, 1939 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Belgrade. Joe and Rose farmed near Spring Hill until 1973 when they retired and moved to Paynesville. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville, Daughters of Isabella, Christian Women, Catholic Aid, and former member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Spring Hill.
Rose loved cooking, baking, quilting and gardening, but most of all Rose loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include children, Joan Patton (Al) Sartell, Chuck Schoenberg (Sharon) Redwood Falls, Sandy Hemmesch (Bob) Paynesville, Tom Schoenberg (Pat) St. Cloud, Bill Schoenberg (Jan) Hancock, Dick Schoenberg (Marilyn) Cold Spring, Mary Budner (Pete) Golden Valley, Mona Ritter (Doug) Red Wing and Nick Schoenberg, Paynesville, 30 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, brothers, Albert Weimerskirch, Elbow Lake, and Reynold Weimerskirch, Kingman, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph, December 28th, 2002, brothers and sisters, Emma Uphus, Henry, Leo, Louis, Eugene, Julius and Edwin Weimerskirch, Loretta Goerdt, Sylvia Schramel, and Anna Ricks. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. The family would especially like to thank the staff at the Koronis Manor for their extraordinary care they gave our mother.
