Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for Irma Athman, 87, who died Monday at Good Shepherd Home, Sauk Rapids.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Christian Women will pray at 7 followed by parish prayers at 8 tonight at the funeral home in Cold Spring.
Irma Athman was born in Spring Hill to Charles and Mary (Pung) Schoenberg. She married Rudolph Athman on Aug. 31, 1940, in St. Michael Catholic Church, Spring Hill. She was a member of Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Rockville, and Christian Women.
Survivors include her husband of Rockville; daughters and sons, Joyce Love of Hinsdale, Ill., Barbara Paulson of Forest Lake, Gail Weber of St. Cloud, Roger of Sauk Rapids, Bruce of Hannibal, Mo., and Vernon of Maple Grove; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters and brother, Lena Neubauer of Spring Hill, Appolonia (Bunny) Troje and Alice Williams of St. Paul, Mary Muehe of Texas, and Joe of Paynesville.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph in 1942; grandson, David Athman; great-granddaughter, Allison Athman; and sisters and brothers, Armella Gerding, Dorothy Benolken, Art, Hank and Ed.
