Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2004 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Raymond M. Weber, age 77, who died Sunday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the St. Martin Parish Center in St. Martin, MN. Catholic Aid Association, St. Joseph's Society and St. Martin Lions will pray at 7:30 p.m. Parish prayers will be at 8:00 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus will pray at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Arrangements with Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond.
Ray was born in St. Martin to Bernard and Louise (Arceneau) Weber. He had a strong faith, he loved farming, fishing and was a former St. Martin Co-op board member. Ray was a member of St. Martin Parish where he was an usher and a former parish council member. After managing the St. Martin baseball team for many years, he continued to be an avid fan and enjoyed all sports.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Jerome Weber of St. Martin, Fr. Arnold Weber, O.S.B., of St. John's Abbey, S. Jane Weber, O.S.B., S. Bernadette Weber, O.S.B., S. Helen Weber, O.S.B., S. Marcella Weber, O.S.B., St. Benedict's Monastery, St. Joseph, Alice (Richard) Drontle of Richmond and Elizabeth (Don) Schramel of Cold Spring; 2 nieces and 8 nephews and 6 grand-nieces and 3 grand-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence Weber and Fr. Otto Weber, O.S.B. and baby girl Weber. Memorials are preferred to the Weber Center at St. John's Prep School, St. Benedict's Monastery or St. Martin Parish.
