Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony, for Jerome Gerads, age 56, of Freeport, who died unexpectedly Thursday morning at the Albany Hospital. Father Bill Vouk III will officiate. Burial following the service at St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4-9 p.m. and Monday from 9-10 a.m. at the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford. Parish prayers 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Jerome was born April 16, 1945, in Krain Twsp. to Nicholas & Dorathea (Frie) Gerads. He married Joann Bauer April 8, 1967, in Melrose. He lived in St. Francis and worked as a carpenter all of his life. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing & woodworking.
Survivors include his wife; children, Brenda Job (Dale) of Richmond, Donna Lange (Dean) of Upsala, Jeff (Patty), Pam Mareck (Paul) of Albany, Bob (Shanna) of St. Rosa, & Rick (Kim) of Sealy, TX; 6 grandchildren; mother of St. Anthony; 6 sisters; & 3 brothers.
He was preceded in death by his father; & brother, Ronald. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
