Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Florence Rothstein, age 88, who died Sunday at the Assumption Nursing home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. followed by a rosary with the Golden Smiles Senior Citizens and Christian Women at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Florence was born in St. Nicholas, MN to Paul & Angeline (Rossman) Rausch. She married Leo Rothstein on October 21, 1940 in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Roscoe, MN. Florence and Leo farmed south of Richmond for 32 years. She enjoyed cards, bingo and polka music. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish, Christian Women, and the Golden Smiles Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her children, Norbert (Marlene Yager) of Park Rapids, Jerome (Cynthia) of Richmond and Rita Stommes; sister, Pauline Hauser of Oak Park, IL; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo (Nov. 11, 1990); parents; daughters, Angela and Bernice; grandson, Rodney Rothstein; three bothers and three sisters.
