Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Seven Dolors Catholic Church for Othmar A. Braegelmann, 83, who died Sunday at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 tonight and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brenny Funeral Home, Albany. St. Mathilda Mission Group will pray at 4:30 tonight at the funeral home in Albany followed by Catholic Order of Foresters 879 of Richmond at 7, parish prayers at 8 and St. Joseph Catholic Aid Society at 8:30.
Othmar Braegelmann was born in Richmond to Henry B. and Margaret (Schloeder) Braegelmann. He married Valeria Schneider on Oct. 10, 1944, in Richmond. He farmed in the Albany area for 41 years, retiring in 1988. He also was a Jacques Seed Corn dealer for 22 years. He was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters 879 of Richmond and St. Joseph Catholic Aid Society.
Survivors include his wife; children, Ralph of Sauk Rapids, Dave and Donnie of Albany, Ann Silvers of Hastings, Ervin of Las Vegas, and Gordon of Phoenix; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother and sisters, Clothilda Eickhoff of Albany, Viola Nistler of Eden Valley and Martin of Richmond.
He was preceded in death by his son, James; and brother, Ludwig.
