Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Saint Michael¹s Catholic Church in Spring Hill. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Saint Ann¹s Christian Mothers, Saint Mary¹s Mission Group, and Melrose Catholic Aid will pray Sunday at 7 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Frances Waldorf was born in Chokio, MN to Peter and Mary (Doepker) Maus. She was employed at the former hotel in Melrose. She moved to Milwaukee, where she was employed for several years. She married Norbert P. Waldorf on June 6, 1942 at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Melrose. The couple farmed near Spring Hill. They retired into Spring Hill in 1977. She was a member of Saint Michael¹s Catholic Church in Spring Hill, Saint Mary¹s Mission Group, Saint Ann¹s Christian Mothers, and Melrose Catholic Aid.
Survivors include her children, Norbert Jr. 'Nubby' Waldorf and his wife, Julie of Spring Hill, John Waldorf and his wife, Rose of Melrose; sister and brothers, Edith Ritter of Melrose, Ray Maus and his wife, Agnes of Melrose, Albert Maus and his wife, Anna of San Diego, California; 9 grandchildren; 2 great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert P. Waldorf on May 10, 1988; sisters and brothers, Caroline Winters, Florence Miller, Veronica Springer, Leo Maus, Wendelin Maus, Donald Maus, infant sister, Edna Maus. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Saint Michael¹s Hospice in Sauk Centre.
