Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose for Lawrence Rademacher who died peacefully on Wednesday, November 23 at the Melrose Area Hospital. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m. Monday evening.
Lawrence Theodore Rademacher was born October 27, 1917 in Oak Township, Stearns County to William and Maria (Valentini) Rademacher. On October 20, 1941 he married Hildegard Kemper at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Melrose. Lawrence was employed at Melrose Memorials and later at Empire Memorials, retiring in 1981. He enjoyed gardening, going to the casino, and doing carpentry work for his family. Lawrence was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church of Melrose.
Survivors include his wife of Hilda Rademacher of Melrose; children, Gerald (Joyce) Rademacher of Melrose, Jim (Julie) Rademacher of Melrose, and Kenny Rademacher of Melrose; eight grandchildren and ten great-granchildren; brothers, Richard (Lorna) Rademacher of Shoreview and Leander (Nancy) Rademacher of Big Lake; and sister, Jeanette (Melvin) Ramler of Sartell.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Joe and Clarence Rademacher; sisters, Betty Wensman, Lenore Lenarz, and Lorraine Sylvester; infant sister, Rosalia Rademacher; and great-grandson, Brady Rademacher.
