Eleanora Anne Welle, 93, died January 5, 2006 at Cambridge Health Care Center. A Mass of Christian burial was held Jan. 10 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Cambridge with burial Jan. 11 in St. Benedict?s Cemetery in Avon, MN.
She was born April 19, 1912 to William and Mary (Pachel) Welle in Stearns County, MN. Eleanora grew up working on the family farm in Avon, MN. surviving influenza during the epidemic of 1918. She worked at Model Laundry in St. Paul, and lived with Ann Voight on Snelling Avenue, retiring in 1977. Eleanora enjoyed embroidery, crocheting and shopping, and was an avid Minnesota Twins TV/radio fan. She went to live at Cambridge Health Care Center in 1989, living there over 16 years.
Eleanora was preceded in death by her son Bernard; brothers Al, William, Wilbert and sisters Melinda and Hilda, half-brothers and sisters Joe, Albin, Math, William, Norbert, Edward, Roman, Rose, Theresa, Lidvina and Hilda.
Survived by sister Lorraine Gable of Cambridge MN; sister-in-law Florence (William) Welle of Cold Spring, MN; granddaughter Melissa (Sean) Muskrat of Hayden Idaho; great-granddaughters Amanda and Ashlyn, and many friends at Cambridge Health Care Center.
