LESTER, W. GLENN, 87, of Dade City, died Monday (Sept. 18, 2000). Born in Wall Spring, he came here 57 years ago from Plant City. He was the owner/operator of L & L Supermarket, Dade City, and a retired U.S.D.A. inspector.
He served on the Board of Commissioners, Dade City, for two years and as Dade City's mayor for five years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, serving on the board of stewards for many years, and a former member of the Dade City Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel H.; two daughters, Glenda F. Lester, Tampa, and Elizabeth L. Blommel, Dade City; a brother, Irving C., Lakeland; a sister, Ruth Higgins, Tampa; and two grandchildren. Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Homes, Dade City.
