Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 2 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport for Claude Hoeschen who died Sunday, April 29 after a long battle with cancer at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. A private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Goldenaires Senior Citizens will pray at 5 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 6 p.m. and St. Joseph's Men's Society at 8 p.m.
Claude Hoeschen was born August 15, 1926 in Freeport to Peter and Walburga (Rueter) Hoeschen. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1955. Cloudy worked for Strack Construction and Conlin Construction in St. Cloud. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport and St. Joseph's Men's Society. Cloudy enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, working with honey bees, and making fish decoys.
Survivors include his sisters, Elisabeth Studer (Roger) of Avon, Lorraine Boeckers of Paynesville, and Edna Boeckermann (Tony) of Albany.
Cloudy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Benedict Hoeschen; brother-in-law, Arnold Boeckers; niece, Sandy Boeckers; and nephew, Marvin Boeckers
