Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Agnes A. Holthaus, age 93, of St. Cloud, who died on Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Robert Rolfes will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call between 4-9 p.m. on Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Spirit Church. Holy Spirit Christian Women will pray at 4 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in St. Cloud followed by Holy Spirit parish prayers at 7 p.m.
Agnes was born on Sept. 23, 1910, in Rockville to John and Katherine (Dockendorf) Ahles. She married Frank Holthaus on Nov. 25, 1930, in St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Cloud. She was employed as a cook at Kay's Cafe, Fred's Cafe and later J.C. Penney. She was a member of Holy Spirit parish and Christian Women.
Survivors include her children, LaVonne Arnold (Ralph) of St. Louis Park, Richard (Marlene) of Clearwater, Kenneth (Dolores) of Sauk Rapids, Robert (Carol) of Walker, Gary (Bobbie) of St. Cloud, and Linda Wolak (Robert) of Cumming, Ga.; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1994; son, Dale; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
