A funeral service celebrating the life of Richard A. Hiltner, age 36, of St. Joseph will be 2 PM on Monday, Dec. 1, 2003 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph, MN. The Rev. Eugene McGlothlin, OSB will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call between 4-9 PM on Sunday and after 12 Noon on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph, MN. St. Joseph parish prayers will be 7 PM on Sunday at the funeral home in St. Joseph, MN.
Richard was born on May 26, 1967 in Melrose, MN to Joseph and Patricia (Rieland) Hiltner. He attended Apollo High School and lived in St. Joseph most of his life. He married Tammy Bechtold on Aug. 27, 1988 in St. Joseph, MN. He was employed in the construction industry for many years and was a member of the Carpenters Union local 930 and St. Joseph's parish.
Survivors include his children: Curtis, Mitchel, and Alexis all in St. Joseph, MN his parents Allen and Pat Ehlert of St. Joseph, brothers and sister: Mark (Lanette) of St. Cloud, Scott (Cindy) of St. Cloud, Tom (fiancee Cecelia) of Honolulu, HI, Cory Ehlert (Julie) of St. Joseph, Shannon Ehlert of St. Joseph; grandmothers Cecelia Rieland and Theresa Ehlert both of Freeport, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Hiltner, sister Susan and grandparents. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
