Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre for Edmund Schulzetenberg who died Sunday, April 12 at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church in Sauk Centre.
Edmund Schulzetenberg was born June 12, 1916 in Meire Grove to Henry and Pauline (Leukam) Schulzetenberg. On October 5, 1943 he married Irene Moscho in St. Martin. After their marriage they farmed west of Meire Grove. They retired in 1990 and moved to Sauk Centre. Since April of 2008 Ed has resided at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, Bishop Busch Council 4863 Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Aid, and St. Leo Court 786 Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Schulzetenberg of Albany; daughters, Carol (Robert) Webster of Delmar, NY, Sherry Dibble of Plymouth, Sandy (Dale) Thielen of Minnetonka, and Mary (Dave) Johnsen of Plymouth; grandchildren, Sarah, Bryan, Michael, Rachel, Ryan, and Natalie; great-granddaughter, Madeleine; sister, Marie (Larry) Laing of Sartell.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; sisters and brothers, Othmar Schulzetenberg, Irene Schulzetenberg, Martin Schulzetenberg, Sr. Ermilda Schulzetenberg, O.S.B., Rose Meyer, Henry Schulzetenberg, and Fr. Raymond Schulzetenberg.
