Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Freeport for Loretta T. Eveslage, 96, who died Tuesday at Pine Villa Care Center. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Christian Mothers will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 Friday at the church in Freeport.
Arrangements were by Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose.
Loretta T. Eveslage was born in St. Cloud to Bernard and Mary (Kiffmeyer) Storkamp. She married Ferdinand Eveslage on May 11, 1926, in St. Augusta. They farmed in St. Augusta until 1934, when they moved to a farm near Freeport. They retired and moved into Freeport in 1960. Ferdinand died on Sept. 18, 1978. She moved to Melrose in 1986. She was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church, Melrose, former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Freeport, and the Sacred Heart Christian Mothers.
Survivors include daughters and sons, Bernadette Koetter of Bemidji, Mary of Oakdale, Elaine Hinnenkamp and Carol Niehaus of Melrose, Leo of Mission, Texas, Bud of Shoreview, John of Freeport, and Kathryn of Marshall; sisters, Clara Gohmann of Waite Park, and Em Helgeson of San Francisco; 32 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers; and two grandsons.
