Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Seven Dolors Catholic Church for Alma Pundsack, 87, who died Friday at Albany Area Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and two hours before services Monday at Brenny Funeral Home, Albany. Albany Senior Citizens will pray at 4 p.m. today followed by Christian Mothers at 7:30 and parish prayers at 8 at the funeral home.
Alma Pundsack was born in St. Anthony to Nicholas and Anna (Olberding) Sand. She married Raymond Pundsack on May 25, 1937, in St. Anthony. She was a midwife in her early adult life. She was a self-employed seamstress for many years and was co-owner of Pundsack Jewelry in Albany for more than 30 years. She was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and the Albany Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her children, Earl of Albany, Arnie of Georgetown, Ontario, and Roger of Melrose; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers, Sandy Koglin and Richard of Albany, Lawrence of Freeport, Vera Ritter of Melrose, Frieda Kerfeld and Loretta Petermeier of St. Rosa, and Theresa Goebel and Victor of St. Anthony.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 24, 1989; son, Vern; one great-grandchild; and brothers and sisters, Henry, Alfred, Monica and Helen. Memorials are preferred to Albany Area Hospital and Unity Family Hospice of Albany, 300 Third Ave. Albany, MN 56307.
