Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Leonard F. Wolbeck, age 77 of Sartell who passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at St. Benedicts Senior Community, St. Cloud. Burial with military honors will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Church. Parish prayers will be at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Leonard was born on August 20, 1929 in Spring Hill, Minnesota to Bernard and Mary (Hiltner) Wolbeck. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Leonard married Sandra P. Parsons on April 23, 1963 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in St. Cloud. He was employed as a truck driver by Borgert Concrete and later by Bauerly Brothers and Amcon Block until he retired in 2004. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish. Leonard enjoyed fishing, crafts, camping, putzing in his shed and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy; children, Mike (Terry) of Sauk Rapids, Doug (Jackie) of Bowlus, Kurt (DeNetta) of Sauk Rapids, Brad (Stacy) of Sartell; 15 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; brothers and sister, Martin of Sartell, Alfred of Richmond and Frances Schneider of Meire Grove. Leonard was preceded in death by seven sisters and four brothers.
