Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Avon, for Virgil Klassen, 56, who died Friday at St. Cloud Hospital. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Williams Funeral Home, Avon, and one hour before services Monday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Virgil Klassen was born in Spring Hill to Peter and Veronica (Kohorst) Klassen. He worked on the family farm in Spring Hill before moving to Avon in 1974. He was then employed by the city of Avon for more than 10 years. He was a member of the Catholic Aid Society.
Survivors include his sisters, Elaine Litchy of Avon, Doris Langston of Spicer, and Janice Klaverkamp of St. Cloud.
