Adam Loxtercamp
Adam Loxtercamp, age 22 of Osakis, died suddenly in an automobile accident early Thursday morning, June 14, 2007, in Gordon Township, Todd County. Funeral services were held for Adam on Monday, June 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osakis with Fr. Dick MdGuire officiating. Musicians were Jane Sazl, Barb Bowman and Kathy Hendricks, Mike Cowdery and Patty Kakac. The reader was Mike Bowman. Interment was at the Gordon Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Osakis with his friends as pallbearers. A lunch was served by the church women after the services.
Adam was born in Alexandria on April 20, 1985, to proud parents, Rick Loxtercamp and Mary Pohlmann. He was welcomed home by his big brother, Andy and attended school in Osakis. He graduated from Osakis High School in 2003. Adam worked construction jobs and also at Standard Iron manufacturing until his employment at the Dairy Proteins plant in Melrose, where he worked as an evaporation operator. Because of his adventurous spirit, Adam had many interests and hobbies. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours aiming at clay pigeons and target shooting. He more recently became interested in doing motorcycle restorations. During the wintertime, he liked to play pool, shoot darts and spend time on the computer. He enjoyed socializing and being with his friends. He was a talented, intuitive and loving son, brother and grandson.
Adam is survived by his parents, Rick Loxtercamp and Mary Pohlmann of Osakis; his brother, Andy (Shauna Amundson) Loxtercamp; and niece, Aubrey of Alexandria; his grandfather, Edmund Pohlmann of Melrose; and his grandmother, Rita Loxtercamp of Sauk Centre; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernadine Pohlmann and Otto Loxtercamp.
