Mrs. Elizabeth L. "Betty" Weber, age 88, of Kimball died Friday, June 17, 2005 at the Assumption Home, Cold Spring. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Kimball with Rev. Mark Willenbring officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball.
Elizabeth L. "Betty" Weber was born September 8, 1916 in Cold Spring to Math and Theresia (Keil) Hommerding. She married Christ Loch May 4, 1936 and he preceded her in death May 28, 1939. She married Edwin J. Weber July 15, 1947 and he preceded her in death November 6, 1983. Betty and Edwin owned and operated Weber's General Store, Kimball from 1951-1984. Betty lived in Kimball most of her life where she was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and active in Christian Mothers. She has lived in Cold Spring the past five years. Betty loved her family, visiting with friends, cards, bingo, sewing, and shopping.
She is survived by five children, Gilbert (June) Loch of Cold Spring, Bernice (Ronald) Poepping of Cold Spring, Dick (Barb) Weber of St. Cloud, Sharon (David) Mockenhaupt of St. Cloud, and Jerry (Marilyn) Weber of Snellville, GA; sister, Alma Krueger of Cold Spring; and brother, Alquin Hommerding of Cold Spring; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alice Poepping; granddaughter, Donna Loso; brothers, George and Ernest; and sister, Marie Rossman.
