Margaret Mary Barthle
(March 29, 1920 - July 16, 2005)
KIEFER, Margaret M., 85, of San Antonio, Fla., died Saturday, July 16, 2005, at home. A native and lifelong resident of San Antonio, she was the former co-owner of Kiefer's Pharmacy and Kiefer's Village Jewel and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Margaret was the founder of the San Antonio Garden Club and was a hospital volunteer "Pink Lady" at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was also a member and former president of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Florida Pharmaceutical Association. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand- mother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include two children, Alfred Kiefer of San Antonio, and Pam Abraham and husband Tony of Dade City; a sister, Sister Ruth Barthle of Tampa; four grandchildren, Andria Abraham of Dade City, Chad Abraham of Dade City, Jennifer Maginness and husband Mike of Zephyrhills, and Adam Kiefer of San Antonio; and two great-grandchildren, Paige and Ryan Maginness, both of Zephyrhills.
She was predeceased by her husband, Al Kiefer; and a son, Joe Kiefer. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2005, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with a Rosary being said at 7 p.m. by Sister Ruth. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Vincent as celebrant. A private burial will be held at a later date. Flowers will be graciously accepted, but donations in her name may be made to Gulfside Regional Hospice, the San Antonio Catholic School or the charity of your choice.
