Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose for Josh Maus, who died Friday due to injuries from a motor vehicle accident. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, and from 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Joshua Bernerd Maus was born December 19, 1975, in Melrose to Jim and Alvina (Terhaar) Maus. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1994. He attended North Dakota State University from 1994-1999, graduating with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He has worked for MFRA in Plymouth from 1999 until present. He loved hunting, bowling, golfing, softball, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose.
Survivors include his parents, Jim and Alvina Maus of Melrose; grandparents, Frances Terhaar of Sauk Centre, and Winifred Maus of Melrose; brothers, Jordan and Ben Maus at home; aunts and uncles, Mark (Bonnie) Maus, Bernita (Duane) Hinnenkamp, Mike (Lou) Maus, all of Melrose, Jeanette (Willie) Hetland of Browerville, Linda (Jerry) Frericks, Pat (Danette) Terhaar, Jeff (Carol) Terhaar, all of Sauk Centre; numerous cousins, and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wendelin Maus and Charles Terhaar.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
