Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud, for George Schoener, 90, formerly of St. Cloud, who died Wednesday at the Elmbrook Memorial Hospital, Brookfield, Wis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud.
George Schoener was born to Casper and Mary (Borgerding) Schoener. He lived in St. Cloud until he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement in 1974.
Survivors include son, William of Brookfield, Wis.; and sister, Eunice of Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by wife, Vivian; brothers, Cerl and Quinten; and sister Carlene.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer Foundation.
