Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church for Dorine LeClaire, 78, who died Friday at St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose. Christian Mothers will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 Sunday at the funeral home.
Dorine LeClaire was born in Oak Township, Stearns County, to Michael and Olivia (Humbert) Thielen. She worked at Honeywell and St. Marys Hospital in Rochester during World War II. She married Arnold LeClaire on Oct. 10, 1944, in New Munich. The couple lived in Greenwald. She began working at Jennie-O Foods in Melrose in 1975, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and St. Andrew's Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her children, James of Bemidji, Tom of Burnsville, Perry of Spring Hill, and Lola Welle of Sauk Centre; brother and sisters, Elmer of St. Cloud, Marion Bonfig of Inver Grove Heights, Etta Pflipsen of Anoka, and Jeanie Hoppe of Melrose; eight grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 16, 1966; brother, Norbert; and one grandchild.
