Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for AnnaMae Stroeing, 67, who died Thursday at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Phoenix. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 p.m. today and two hours before services Monday at the church in Freeport. Freeport Senior Citizens will pray at 4 p.m. with Christian Mothers and Catholic Aid praying at 7 and parish prayers at 8 today at the church. Arrangements were made by Patton- Schad Funeral Home, Melrose.
AnnaMae Stroeing was born in St. Martin to John and Rose (Kohorst) Wensmann. She worked for several years at the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph. She married Sylvester Stroeing on May 14, 1951, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The couple resided in St. Paul for 10 years, moving to Freeport in 1960. She retired in 1985. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Sacred Heart Catholic Aid, Young at Heart Club, and the church choir.
Survivors include her husband; sons and daughters, Glenn of Alexandria, John of New Ulm, Kathleen Luethmers of Albany, Lori Ann Pohlmann of Melrose, Lisa Orton of Foley, and Amy of St. Paul; brothers and sisters, Herbert of Lakeville, Richard of Deer Creek, Alcuin of Mounds View, Patricia Wegleitner of Sun Lakes, Ariz., Urban of Leavenworth, Kan., Josephine Hoffman of Lakeville, and Clarice Schleppenbach of Albany; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy.
