Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Avon, for Catherine R. Buttweiler, 86, formerly of 311 First St. SE, Avon, who died Monday at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the church in Avon. Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Catherine Buttweiler was born in Farming Township to John and Mary (Klemmer) Kalla. She married Rudolph N. Buttweiler on Feb. 21, 1933, in Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Albany; he died Aug. 3, 1959. She was employed as a clerk at Schmidt Co. General Store, Avon, for more than 20 years. She was a member of St. Benedict's Christian Women and St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Avon.
Survivors include her daughters and son, Donna Birosh of Brooklyn Center, and Gloria Senart and Rudy of Avon; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Monica Sinclair, Theresa Gilbert, Frances Emmel, Mathilda Muske, Regina, Katie, Peter, Joe and Norbert.
