Services were Tuesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church for Urban W. Lembeck, 81, formerly of Spring Hill, Minn., who died April 5. Interment was in Highland Cemetery with military rites provided by United Veterans Council of Natrona County. Arrangements were made by Bustard's Funeral Home and Crematory, Casper.

Urban Lembeck was born in Spring Hill to Henry and Emma (Utecht) Lembeck. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1939. He spent 31/2 years in a Japanese prison camp after his ship was sunk in the Java Sea. He also was a veteran of the Korean War and received the Prisoner of War medal, the Purple Heart, the Philippine Defense medal with three silver battle stars and the Presidential Unit Citation before retiring on June 22, 1959. He married Frances Sweeney on June 12, 1947, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. After his retirement, he was employed by Jourgensen Paint Co. until 1982.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Linda of Casper, Patricia Walker of Gunnison, Colo., and Mary Burgess of Midland, Texas; five grandchildren; and sisters, Irene Free of Freeport, Minn., Vicky Allen of Melrose, Minn., and Esther Huckleberry of Hemet, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Clara Sieben, Isabelle Gillies, Ervin, Arthur, Clarence and Roman. Memorials are preferred to St. Anthony's Catholic School, 604 S. Center, Casper, WY 82601
