Henry L. Fiedler, age 89, a resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Sunday, November 14, 2004 at the St. Otto's Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father William Vouk III officiating. Burial will be at Church of Annunciation Cemetery in Mayhew Lake, MN. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at the Brenny-Simonet Funeral Home (East Chapel) in Little Falls, MN. Parish Prayers will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. followed by Knights of Columbus Office of the Dead Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday at the Brenny-Simonet Funeral Home (East Chapel) in Little Falls, MN.
Henry was born on July 22, 1915 on a farm near Rice, MN to the late Sylvester and Anna (Fuchs) Fiedler. He attended country school No. 31E in Benton County. On November 3, 1938, Henry was united in marriage to Evelyn Katherine Schreifels in Mayhew Lake, MN. The couple farmed near Rice for some years before settling on a farmstead north of Pierz in 1946 where they lived for 12 years. In 1958, they moved to Little Falls. Henry became a partner in the John Deere Implement dealership. In 1961, he started Fiedler Cesspool Pumping, retiring to Rice after 18 years in the business. Henry and Evelyn lived in Rice for 15 years. In 1994, they moved to Little Falls. Henry was a Grand Knight in the Pierz Council of the Knights of Columbus and served on the Pierz School Board. He was currently a member of the Little Falls Council of the Knights of Columbus. Henry enjoyed deer hunting, spear fishing, purple martins, traveling with friends, spending time with family, watching the Twins, Vikings, Little Falls Flyers basketball and Victory League baseball.
He is survived by his wife: Evelyn Fiedler of Little Falls; sons: Donald Fiedler (Jacklyn) of Pierz, David Fiedler (Carol) of Buffalo and Gerald Fiedler (Dorothy Bachan) of Little Falls; daughters: Dorothy Johnson (Gerald) of Superior, WI, Shirley Moen of Bloomington, Mary Peters (Carl) of St. Louis Park, Phyllis Feia (Jerrold) of Little Falls and Wanda Moen of Bloomington; sister: Veronica "Fronie" Voigt of Rice; grandchildren: Michael, David, Robert, Scott, Lucas, Jessica, Sr. Redempta (Julie), Jenny, Molly, Kimberly, Anthony, Holly, Kendall, Kelly and Gina; great-grandchildren: Bradley, Zachary, Brian, Victoria, Benjamin, Sara, Rachel, Ryan, Katlynn, Tyler, Kaleb and Madeline.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, John grandson, Stephen Johnson, brothers, Louis, Casper, Herman, Edward, Frederic, Joseph and Alphonse, sisters, Ella, Bertha Imdieke, Christina Wiener and Regina Popp.
