Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church for Orlin W. 'Slim'Albrecht, 68, who died Wednesday at Paynesville Area Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with full military honors provided by Paynesville American Legion Post 271.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 tonight at Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville, and one hour before services Saturday at the church in Roscoe. Paynesville American Legion Post 271 will pray at 7:30 tonight followed by parish prayers at 8.
Orlin Albrecht was born in Paynesville to Edward and Alvina (Knebel) Albrecht. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He married Irene Mackedanz on April 16, 1955, at St. Agnes Catholic Church. He worked for Cold Spring Granite Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Paynesville American Legion Post 271 and Roscoe Sportsman's Club.
Survivors include his wife; children, Carol Kohnen, Margie Willemsen, Mary VanderBeek, Donald and Billy Jo of Roscoe, and David of Paynesville; 13 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and sisters and brothers, Ardine Schmidt, Ermin and Kenneth of Paynesville, LeRoy of Buffalo, Janice Olsen of New London and Doris Schmidt of Longville. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter
