Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church for Betty R. Botz, 73, who died Wednesday at St. Michael's Nursing Home.Interment will be in St. Alexius Cemetery, West Union.Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. Sauk Centre Seniors will pray at 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Sauk Centre, followed by Christian Mothers at 7:30 and parish prayers at 8.
Betty Botz was born in West Union to John and Margaret (Staus) Williams. She married Otto J. Imdieke on Oct. 16, 1945, in St. Alexius Catholic Church, West Union. The couple resided and farmed near West Union until his death in 1960. In 1965 she moved to Sauk Centre where she was employed at the Hi-Ho Cafe, Burger Hut and St. Michael's Hospital. She married Herbert J. Botz on Nov. 21, 1973, in Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church. After his death on Nov. 9, 1997, she continued to reside in their home in Sauk Centre. In the last year she had resided at the Belgrade Nursing Home and since July 1 at St. Michael's Nursing Home. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, West Union Homemakers, Sauk Centre Seniors and St. Michael's Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Charles Imdieke, Donald 'Herman' Imdieke and Donna Imdieke of Sauk Centre, Mary Kay Imdieke of Ventura, Calif., Timothey Imdieke of Willmar, Daniel Imdieke of Linton, N.D., David Imdieke of Stanley, Wis., and Margaret Imdieke Cross of Minneapolis; stepchildren, Vernon Botz of Sauk Centre, and Betty Geisenhof of Long Prairie; 15 grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers, Vera Arneson of Coon Rapids, Dorothy Maus of Phoenix, George of Sauk Centre, and Robert of West Union.
