Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park for Beatrice K. Pfannenstein age 74 of Waite Park and formerly of St. Cloud who died Friday at her home. Reverend Ronald Weyrens will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Waite Park. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Bea was born on March 4, 1928 in Cold Spring, Minnesota to Anton and Anastasia (Jungels) Nierenhausen. She married Jerome E. Pfannenstein on October 9, 1948 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring. Bea was a cook at the Moose Lodge and St. Paul's School. Bea and her husband also owned and operated the Riverside Cafe in Sartell. She later worked at the Karmel Korn Shoppe in Crossroads Center, St. Cloud. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Waite Park. Bea will be remembered as a loving and kind wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Jerome of Waite Park; three daughters, Sandy Lewellyn of Waite Park, Jean Knutson of Fargo, ND, and Michelle Kranz of St. Cloud; two grandchildren, Kelley Lewellyn and Nicholas Kranz; one sister, Donna Bischof of St. Cloud; two brothers, Ralph Nierenhausen of St. Cloud and Richard Nierenhausen of Cold Spring.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gilbert Nierenhausen and Ervin Nierenhausen; and two sisters, Joyce Meyer, and Mary Ann Kron.
