Bischof, 68, 2516-19th St. N, who died Monday at St. Cloud VA Medical Center.Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud, with Waite Park American Legion Silver Star Post 428 prayers at 5, followed by prayers at 8.
LeRoy Bischof was born in Eden Valley to Jacob and Elizabeth (Hentges) Bischof. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Donna M. Nierenhausen on July 21, 1951, in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring. He owned and operated Bischof Ford in Eden Valley until 1955. He then was employed by Northern States Power Co. in St. Cloud for 33 years, retiring in 1988 as a commercial sales representative. He lived in Cold Spring for 23 years, moving to St. Cloud in 1988. He was a member of Waite Park American Legion Silver Star Post 428, Cold Spring Commercial Club and St. Paul's Parish.
Survivors include his wife; daughters and son, Diane Rausch of Eagan, Sheila Garceau of St. Cloud, Mike of Lakeville, Thomas of Avon, and Bob of Eden Valley; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother and sister, Kenneth of Kansas City, Mo., and Sue Boedigheimer of Marshall.He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Victor, Jerome, Jacob Jr., Lloyd, Joseph, Bernice, Mary Helen and Marcella.
