Services will be on Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral Upper Church in St. Cloud for Celeste H. Mockenhaupt age 90 of St. Cloud who died Sunday, July 7 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Steven Binsfeld, Reverend Robert Rolfes and Reverend Edwin Kraemer will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. The Daughters of Isabella and the St. Margaret-St. Joseph Society will pray at 4:00 p.m. followed by parish prayers and the St. Anne's Christian Women at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Celeste was born on October 6, 1911 in Richmond, Minnesota to William and Mae (Grandstrand) Moening. She married Raymond E. Mockenhaupt on June 8, 1936 at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud. She was employed by Herbergers Department Store in St. Cloud for 15 years. Celeste was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral Parish, St. Anne's Christian Women, St. Margaret-St. Joseph Society, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the Daughters of Isabella. She was the recipient of the "Outstanding Daughter of Isabella Award" in 1999.
Survivors include her children, Gary and his wife Holly of Big Lake, Lee and his wife Sue of Stillwater, Joyce Schlough and her husband Tom of St. Cloud, Lois Rosemark and her husband Ronn of Colorado Springs, Colorado, David and his wife Sharon of St. Cloud, and Mary Eikmeier and her husband Ron of St. Cloud; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Cliff of Trenton, Michigan and Jerry of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond in 1966; four brothers, Richard, Lawrence, Stanley, and Howard. Memorials are preferred.
