Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Church of Our Lady in Manannah for Margaret Helen Fuchs, age 87, of Eden Valley, who died Sunday at her home. Msgr. Francis Garvey will officiate and burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in Eden Valley.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements were made by Dingmann's Eden Valley Funeral Home.
Margaret was born March 19, 1918 in rural Eden Valley to Manus & Elizabeth (Kehoe) McCarney. She married Michael Fuchs on June 23, 1942 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Eden Valley. Margaret was a teacher in the Eden Valley and Lake Henry areas. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Eden Valley, Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley, and Church of Our Lady in Manannah.
Survivors include her sons and daughters, Edward (Ann), Mary Walgenbach, Michael, Maureen Larson (Steve Kersting), Kathleen (Dan) Nistler, Patricia, and Threse; and grandchildren, Nicole Nistler, Joshua (Angela) and Jessica Walgenbach.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents, Pete & Mary "Manie" McCarney; husband, Michael; son-in-law, Dan Walgenbach; granddaughter, Sage Fuchs; sisters, Mary McCarney, Lucille Vick, Kate Grossinger, Helen Lund, Bonnie Helvia, and Rose Ann Grossinger; brothers, Pat, Jim, Tom, Martin, and Jack McCarney.
