Isidore Essler

Isidore and Veronica Essler, came from Austria in 1854, settling in Kewaunee, Wis., where Isidore was a cobbler. Later they, along with their two children, Frank and Theresa, moved to Padua where they built a log house and a barn on their homestead.
Veronica was a midwife and delivered all of the babies in the area. Theresa died after she was hit by a pitchfork.
