Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007 at St. James Catholic Church in Jacobs Prairie, MN for Carl A. Mueller, age 76, who died Tuesday as the result of a tractor accident. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday and from 9 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. and the Cold Spring VFW and American Legion, St. James Men's Society, Knights of Columbus and Catholic Aid Association will pray at 8:30 p.m.
Carl was born in St. Joseph Township, MN to Albert and Appolonia (Schmitt) Mueller. He married Ruth Brinker on November 27, 1956 in St. James Catholic Church, Jacobs Prairie, MN. Farming was Carl's life and he died doing what he loved. He was a member of St. James Parish, Catholic Aid Association, Knights of Columbus, St. James Men's Society, Cold Spring American Legion and VFW.
Survivors include his children, +Jeff (Rose) of Jacobs Prairie, Jane (Kevin) Zimmermann of Lamberton, Doug of Cold Spring, Jacki (Terry) Mead of Sauk Centre, Greg (Terry) of Jacobs Prairie, Karla Stransky of Paynesville, Glenn (Jackie) of Cold Spring, Keith of Jacobs Prairie and Jennifer (Rick) Mix of St. Joseph; 19 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; siblings, Eugene (Dora) of Watkins, Isabelle (Joe) Zimmer of St. Joseph, Peter (Jean) of White Bear Lake and Alice (Ray) Leyendecker of St. Cloud.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (December 24, 1982); parents; son, Jeff (1997); granddaughter, Savannah Mueller; siblings, Ervin, Marcellus, Arnold and Lucille (Shoenfelder) Henricksen.
