Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Assumption Catholic Church for Paul M. Meyer, 88, who died Monday at Hilltop Good Samaritan Center, Watkins. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Eden Valley. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Dingmann's Eden Valley Funeral Home. Eden Valley Senior Citizens will pray at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Eden Valley, followed by Paynesville Knights of Columbus St. Louis Council 3820 at 7 and parish prayers at 8.
Paul Meyer was born in Richmond to John and Barbara (Huschle) Meyer. He married Alvina Huckenpoehler on May 7, 1935, in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Watkins. He farmed in the Eden Valley area from 1935 to 1968. He was a former member of St. Peter's Cath-olic Church, Eden Valley, and a member of Eden Valley Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his sons and daughters, Frank and Jerome of Paynesville, Edith Fink of Eden Valley, Mary Jane Geislinger of Watkins, LeRoy of Forest Lake, and Ruth Ann Fischer of St. Cloud; brother and sisters, Louis of Missoula, Mont., Susan Langer of Swanville, and Agnes Vick of Delano; 28 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife on May 27, 1995; daughter, Arlene Bauer in 1987; brothers and sisters, Al, Ed, Leo, Sylvester, John, Loretta Mykannen, Rose Schaefer, Mary Paul and Veronica Erdman; and three grandchildren.
