Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church for James E. Kenna, 87, who died Saturday at St. Michael's Nursing Home.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. today and from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be 7:30 tonight at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.
James Kenna was born in Getty Township, Stearns County, to Robert and Anna (Allen) Kenna. He married Clara C. Beste on Sept. 20, 1943, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. They farmed near Padua from 1943 until retiring in 1981 and moving to Sauk Centre. James was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society at Padua.
Survivors include children, Karen Rooney of Eagan, Patricia of Maple Grove, and Gloria Otte of Sauk Centre; sister, Margaret Larson of Sauk Centre; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, April 21, 1994; and sister and brothers, Jane Clark, Vincent, Cyril, Fred and Kenneth.
